Mediation - where an authorised officer acts as an intermediary and conveys each party's views in an attempt to arrive at a mutually acceptable resolution.
Conciliation - where an officer brings the parties together and encourages a mutually acceptable resolution of the dispute.
Arbitration - where a panel, which may include the investigating officer, the Senior Consumer Liaison Officer Advocate , the Director - Consumer Guidance, reviews the facts on both sides and renders a final decision.
