PRINCIPLES AND PRIORITIES OF CONSUMER POLICY:

I. HARMONIZATION AND COORDINATION AMONG ALL CONSUMER PROTECTION AGENCIES

  1. Principles
    1. Harmonisation, coordination and collaboration among all consumer protection agencies are necessary to provide effective protection and service to consumers.
  2. Priorities
    1. To review the role and functions of; and the legislation governing, all consumer protection agencies in Trinidad and Tobago;
    2. To review the role and function of the Consumer Guidance council;
    3. To develop an appropriate management structure for the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
